Do all mic stands work with all shock mounts?
I recently bought the Rode NT1-A, and am looking to buy a mic stand. Are all mic stands universal with shock mounts, or will I have to bring the shock mount with me until I find the right fit? I'm sure that they are all unversal, but I don't want to bring it and not need it or need it and not bring it.

Yes. It's the bracket holding the microphone thas absorbs the shock.
